DAY 2
MORNING PRAYER
As
we continue our prayer for Christian Unity, let us remember all our brothers
and sisters in faith. Let us also remember the importance of forgiving others,
as well as asking for forgiveness, so that we can live as faithful people. Pope
Francis told us that Unity is a gift from God and our task is to welcome that
gift and make it visible to others. Rather than just a goal to be achieved, he
said, we should see the search for unity as a journey that we undertake
together with patience, determination, effort and commitment, knowing that all
of us are sinners for whom God has infinite mercy. Remember, the Pope said,
that when we work, pray and serve the needy together, we are already
united.
Help us to be united in our faith.
Help us to work, pray and serve the needy.
Help us to search for unity in our faith and in our daily lives.
Guide us to see the dignity in others as we embrace peace and unity.
Through Christ our Lord.
