DAY 1
MORNING PRAYER
Did you know
that today marks 9 months before Christmas? March 25th
is the day that we celebrate the Annunciation, the day that the Angel Gabriel
asked Mary to be the mother of Jesus. With Mary’s
‘Yes’ to God’s plan, Jesus would begin his earthly ministry to teach us, then
to die and rise again. This year the Annunciation also falls at the beginning of
Holy Week.
Loving Father,
On the day that
we remember the Annunciation,
we give You
thanks for sending Your son to teach us,
then to die and rise again.
Thank you for
Mary’s ‘yes’ to Your plan of salvation
and help me to
know and do Your will – just like Mary did.
Grant me a
grateful heart
and help me to always pray, as Mary prayed.
Through Christ our Lord.
