Wednesday, March 2nd

 DAY 1

MORNING PRAYER

Today we begin the most important liturgical season in the Church year; the season of Lent. Today is Ash Wednesday, a time when we fast and pray and think about what we can sacrifice so that our Lenten journey can help us change to become a better version of ourselves. The theme of our Lenten Journey this year is: Following Jesus as a Family of Faith / Une famille de foi...Nous marchons avec Jésus.

Loving God,

God of justice and love,

prepare our hearts for the Lenten season.

Lead us to the quiet and simple places where we can hear your voice.

We are so sorry for the times when we have forgotten about you,

when we have hurt others and ourselves by our words or our actions.

Lead us back to your way

so that we can live lives of holiness, loving, and caring for others

as you love and care for us.

Through Christ our Lord.

Amen
