As humans, we all suffer the pain and weakness of physical illness, but often the worst pains that we suffer in our lives are not physical at all. Some of our deepest wounds are emotional and spiritual. However, we are reminded that Jesus will heal and be with us in times of need. Through Christ's birth, we are given new hope and new life.
God of Love,
Grant us the gift of hope, patience, and waiting in these days of Advent.
Help me to focus on your birth during this wonderful time of the year,
so that I can let go of the wounds and insecurities that I sometimes have.
Help me to live in your love,
as we continue our journey towards Advent.
Through Christ our Lord.
