On Sunday, we will celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord. The word Epiphany celebrated the wise men who recognized Jesus for who he is and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. This feast reminds us that, like the three wise magi, we should have the courage to give our own gifts to Jesus - our hearts in faith - and then bring the joy of the Christ Child to the world.
As we continue to celebrate the joy we get
from the Christ Child during the celebration of the Epiphany,
make us aware of the true gifts we have to share with loved ones.
Deepen our sense of joy,
making us ever-grateful for the gifts others bestow upon us.
Thank you for the gift of the Christ Child
who fills our lives with love and hope.
To continue spreading cheer, Communities Building Youth Futures (CBYF) Prince Albert is promoting a Poetry Contest for youth ages 14 – 30. Poems must be original, have a New Year's theme, and be submitted by Friday, January 8th, 2021. The winner will receive a $50 gift card from #Propaganda. Poems are a great way of expressing yourself! They can be short and sweet, don't need to be grammatically correct, words can be spelled however you want, and sentences can flow all over your page. Take a chance and put your creativity out there to possibly win a prize. Local artist John McDonald will be judging the contest! Winners will be announced January 12th. For additional information, please contact assistant coordinator, Danielle Castle on Facebook or by email at email@example.com
