2018 RELAY FOR LIFE VOLUNTEERS

The 2018 RELAY FOR LIFE in Prince Albert is being held on Saturday, June 2^nd at a new time and venue – 12 noon until 12 midnight at Kinsmen Park. Many volunteers are required throughout the day from 8:00 a.m. until midnight.  Please see Mrs Kopchynski if you are interested in volunteering.  

MOST GENTLMANLY AND DEPORTMENT AWARDS: Grade 12 

“The recipient of this award displays the words and actions of the following criteria: is welcoming and inclusive, is non-judgmental, and is respectful of self, other students, and staff.” A nomination form is available at the main office or at http://bit.ly/SMHSGradAwards on the school’s career website. Nomination forms are due at the main office by Tuesday, May 29^th, at 9:00 a.m.

KAWULA AND DAVIDNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Grade 12 students are encouraged to apply for the Tillie and Joe Kawula Scholarship and Hershel Davidner Memorial Scholarships. The two $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded to students who value academics, community involvement, and volunteerism and are entering a recognized university or technical institute. One application will apply to both awards. These scholarships are open to Grade 12 graduates from Saskatchewan Rivers School Division, Prince Albert Catholic School Division and the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Prince Albert campus Academic Grade 12 program.  An application form and additional information is available at http://bit.ly/AwardGrade12 on the school career website. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, June 4th.

RELAY FOR LIFE FUNDRAISER

Chelsea Mitchell is raising funds for the Canadian Cancer Society through Relay for Life.  If you would like to help support Chelsea, she is selling Relay for Life Bracelets for $5.00.  They are available for purchase at the office.
