DAY 2

MORNING PRAYER

First week of Advent
In today’s reading we hear that the Messiah will suffer greatly.
We know that Jesus, the Messiah and Savior, suffered and died before he rose from the dead.
The prophet Isiah foretells Jesus’ suffering.
 Isaiah 53:3ac-5,7,9

Merciful God,
Jesus showed us how to live.
Open our hearts to receive his great love and help us to love you and others as he did.
Help us to prepare our hearts as we await his coming. Amen
Amen
