In today’s Gospel (Mark 9:41-48,50) we listen to the commitment that Jesus requires all of his followers.

Jesus our Redeemer, you ask us to commit to remaining your beloved sons and daughters. 

Help us to follow your lead about giving up activities, plans, and people who lead us away from your goodness, truth, and beauty. Give us strength to resist what may cause us to fall from your grace. Amen
