In today’s reading (Romans 14:7-12), St. Paul helps us to remember that Jesus is our Savor for our lives here and beyond.


Jesus Christ, you are Son of our living God. You are Lord of all. Help us to not judge one another harshly, for we are your sons and daughters, both here and in our lives beyond our time on earth. Amen

SMHS CLOTHING

There is a sample rack of clothing including jackets, sweats and hoodies of all styles for viewing and sizing at the office and during interviews. Orders will be taken until Friday, November 15th. Orders will be back before Christmas break.

REMINDER TO ALL ARTISTS
Submissions for the Cathedral Art Night and The 3rd Annual SMHS Show and Sale is Friday, November 15th.  See Ms. Charlebois-Rinas for more information or to drop off your submission.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS
Scholastic Book Orders are now available in the Library for the month of December. Remember, books make wonderful Christmas presents!  Please bring your orders to the Library by Wednesday, November 20th.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
All grade 9 – 12 girls interested in playing this year are invited to tryouts:
Wednesday, November 13th from 6:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m
Thursday, November 14th from 3:30 p.m.- 5:30 p.m.
Monday, November 18th from 5:30 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
Tuesday, November 19th from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

THE VIMY PILGRIMAGE AWARD
In recognition of young people who demonstrate outstanding service, positive contributions, notable deeds, bravery or leadership, the Vimy Foundation has created the Vimy Pilgrimage Award. Exceptional Canadian youth – ages 14 to 17 – who have served their peers, schools, communities, province or country are eligible. The Award consists of a fully funded, week-long educational program in Europe to study Canada’s tremendous First World War effort. Scheduled in early April during Vimy week, the program will include classroom education and daily field trips to significant WWI sites and memorials.

The submission deadline for the Vimy Pilgrimage Award is midnight, November 11th.

RAFFLE FOR TANZANIA

SLC is selling raffle tickets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch throughout the month of October. Tickets are $1 each and include a coupon for a free teen burger. Proceeds go towards the Mission to Tanzania Africa this summer to build a well. You could win an Ipad, e-reader, 3DS, $200 prepaid Visa gift card and more! 

ST. MARY SQUIRES
Catholic Youth, under age18, are invited to become part of the first squires circle at St. Mary High School. The squires are a branch of the Knights of Columbus, and by joining at school will allow students to become involved in their school, local parishes, and community.  See Fr Travis or Mr. Corcoran if you are interested.
