DAY 2
MORNING PRAYER
Last
Sunday, we celebrated the Epiphany of the Lord.
The word Epiphany celebrated the wise men who recognized Jesus for who
he is and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. This feast reminds us that, like the three
wise magi, we should have the courage to give our own gifts to Jesus, that is
our hearts in faith, then bring the joy of the Christ Child to the world. Loving God,
As we continue to celebrate
the joy we get from the Christ Child
during the celebration of the Epiphany,
make us aware of the true gifts we have to
share with loved ones.
Deepen our sense of joy,
making us ever-grateful
for the gifts others bestow upon us.
Help us to extend our capacity for
compassion,
so that we may help those in need.
Thank you for the gift of the Christ Child
who fills our lives with love and hope.Amen
