Thursday, March 28th

Today is Holy Thursday, a day during Holy Week when we remember the actions of Jesus at the last supperWe are told that after supper, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and told them to do likewiseNormally washing the feet of others was the lowest chore someone could be asked to doWhen Jesus washed his disciples feet, his actions demonstrated that we are to live a life where we serve others.

Lord God,

You sent your son into the world,

and before his hour had come,

he washed the feet of his disciples

help us to learn from his example

and help us to do as he has done

Strengthen our hands and our wills

to love and serve others.

Through Christ our Lord,
