DAY 1
MORNING PRAYER
Thanksgiving weekend is fast approaching. Thanksgiving
is a time of being grateful for the blessings that we have. It
is a time to say thank you to God for his many blessings. At
this time of the year, we also remember those who don’t
have enough food.
Loving God,
We
gather in thanksgiving,
for the
abundant blessings you bestow upon us.
The
many blessings you give us
help us
to see the immense love you have for each of your children.
Help us
to stop and give thanks, each day, for what we have.
Help us
to be generous when we share our blessings.
We ask
this through Jesus,
Amen

The Loran Foundation seeks to recognize students that demonstrate character, leadership potential, and service to the community. They are looking for young people who deeply value honesty, are curious by nature, and are interested in a wide range of subjects. The scholars they select are willing to take meaningful risks, show a sustained commitment to service in the community, have taken the initiative to create positive changes and are interested in working toward a better world. 36 Loran Awards are available across Canada at up to $100,000 over 4 years. More than just financial support for post-secondary studies, the Loran Award is a comprehensive four-year leadership enrichment program comprising mentorship, funding for summer work experiences, and participation in a lifelong network of inspirational, values-driven peers. Students can submit their applications at apply.loranscholar.ca They may also view the award overview, information sheet, sample application form, and a recording or a Loran Award Information Session. The deadline to submit all applications for the Loran Award is Wednesday, October 11,2023 before 8:00 pm ET.
