The theme of Catholic
Education Week focuses us on “We are
are one”. The subtheme for today is “We
are many, We
are one…when we learn.” We are called to learn and contemplate the rich and
valuable contributions of our first peoples. Embracing our Catholic Social
Teaching, we learn and reflect on the journey towards truth, healing
and reconciliation. In addition, today is World
Catholic Education Day. Catholic Schools around the
world are celebrating the gift of Catholic Education.
All powerful God,
are present in the whole universe
and in the smallest of Your Creatures.
You embrace with Your tenderness all that exists.
On this World Catholic Education day,
pour out upon us the power of Your love,
that we may protect life and beauty.
Fill us with peace, that we
may live as brothers and sisters, harming no one.
We thank you for being with
us each day.
Encourage us, we pray, in
our struggle for justice, love and peace.
Through Christ our Lord,
