It can be hard to stand up for what is right, when others do not. It can be hard to have faith and to show that faith in public places, when others do not. But Jesus strengthens us. He loves us and rewards us for even the small acts of faith. Let us resolve to trust him more and ask for the gift of stronger faith and greater courage, as we share our faith through the birth of Jesus this Advent season.
As we begin the journey of advent,
help us to prepare our hearts with room for your son, Jesus.
As we decorate our homes in anticipation of the joyous Christmas season,
help us to remember that it is the preparation within ourselves
that is of most importance.
Bless our family, extended family, and family of faith.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
