DAY 2
MORNING PRAYER
As we continue our prayer for Christian Unity, let us remember the words of Pope Francis when he told us that to understand one another, and to grow in charity and truth, we need to pause, to accept, and to listen to one another. In this way, we already begin to experience unity. Unity grows along the way; it never stands still. Unity happens when we walk together.
Loving God,
Heal the wounds
of our past
and bless us on
our journey towards unity.
Forgive us when
we think of only ourselves.
Open our hearts
and minds and teach us
to be loving,
accepting, and gracious,
so that we may
grow in unity.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen
