Thursday, February 11th

 MORNING PRAYER

The Catholic Church commemorates the World Day of the Sick on February 11th.  We are reminded that service to the sick and suffering cannot be neglected.  It recognizes the great efforts of doctors, nurses, health care institutions, and pastoral caregivers who help support the restoration to health of those afflicted with illness and disease.

Loving God,

You offer comfort all who are sick and burdened.

Heal those who are unwell with your healing hands.

Touch their souls with your compassion,

their hearts with courage, their minds with your wisdom.

Reach out to them in their need,

and help their caregivers be a sign of your presence to them.

Bless those who help others to heal and to be healthy.

Through Christ our Lord,

Amen
