MORNING PRAYER
The other day, we heard that our new spiritual theme for the 2020-2021 school year is “Christ be our Light”. This theme reminds us that we can look to the light of Christ as the source of our hope and strength in life. As well, we are challenged to reflect the light of Christ in our words and actions.
Loving God,
Your son Jesus gave us the great commandment to love one another.
Help us to show love in our words, deeds, and actions in our world
where it is so desperately needed.
Help us to care for the poor, the sick, the lonely, and those who are hurting.
Guide our actions so that we can do good in our world through acts of love.
Help us to remember that when we do these actions,
we reflect the light of Christ.
We ask this through Christ, our light in the world.
Amen
