Lord, 

We praise and bless you for all those who are our companions, 

on our journey of faith and learning. 

In the midst of life’s struggles, it is reassuring to know 

that we are surrounded by other disciples who support us, 

as we live out our faith each day. 

Help us to build up the bonds of community and cooperation,

to encourage others, and together, 

to build up your Kingdom of justice, inclusion, solidarity and peace. 

As part of your family, the Church, we know that we are never alone. 

Bless our school and bless Catholic Education during this Catholic Education Week.

All student registration forms for the 2019-2020 school year are to be returned to the main office. 

GRAD 2019 BABY PHOTOS
Baby photos are being collected for a slideshow to be presented after Commencement and before the Grand March. Students are to email the labeled baby photo to Mrs. Kopchynski (diane.kopchynski@pacsd.ca) or drop off the baby photo at the main office by Monday, June 3rd.

MOST GENTLEMANLY AND DEPORTMENT AWARDS: Grade 12

“The recipient of this award displays the words and actions of the following criteria: is welcoming and inclusive, is non-judgmental, and is respectful of self, other students, and staff.” A nomination form is available at the library or at http://bit.ly/SMHSGradAwards on the school’s career website. Nomination forms are due at the library office by Friday, May 31st at 3:30 p.m. Students will vote in class Monday, June 3rd - Friday, June 7th.

OFFICE OF THE TREATY COMMISSIONER LOGO DESIGN CONTEST

Students in Grade K-12 are invited to submit a logo design for the OTC. The winning prize is $500. The artwork, as well as a written explanation of the significance of the artwork and how it related to Treaties, must be postmarked no later than June 30^th. ÉCOLE ST MARY HIGH SCHOOL TRAVEL CLUB

The Club is raising money for travel to France in April 2020 through a McDonald Metals recycle drive (old batteries, electronics, aluminum, fridges, even old cars!).  Clean out your basement, your yard, your grandparent's acreage and simply drop off your metal items directly to McDonald Metals (Hwy 3, 42nd St E) or bring your items to the green bin in the school lobby.  Please watch for dates on the spring and fall clean-up drives.  For more information, please contact Mrs. Kopchynski at diane.kopchynski@pacsd.ca

NATIONAL UNION OF PUBLIC AND GENERAL EMPLOYEES SCHOLARSHIPS
This $1,500 scholarship is open to Grade 12 students who are planning to attend a post-secondary educational institution full-time in 2019 – 2020 and who are the children, grandchildren, or foster children of a NUPGE member. Go to https://nupge.ca/content/national-unions-scholarship-program-2019 for information and application forms. The deadline to apply is July 4^th, 2019.
