Grad surveys and quotes are now overdue! If you have not handed them in to the office, please do so. Extra forms are also available at the office. 

CLOTHING FOR "ALL SHOOK UP" MUSICAL
Sample sizes are now available in the library for students in the musical (cast, crew, pit band) who want to purchase a t-shirt ($30) and/or a hoodie ($40). Prepayment is required: cash, cheque (St Mary High School) or debit/credit at the main office. The deadline to purchase is Friday, April 7th

BADMINTON
Any badminton player who is interested in playing in the Tuesday League from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. please sign up in Rm 239 sometime today or Monday.

TRACK AND FIELD SIGN UP MEETING 
Students interested in participating in Track and Field are to attend a meeting on Thursday, March 30th at 1:00 p.m. in the small gym.

POLE VAULT  
Any student who are interested in competing in Pole Vault this spring, please see Mr. Quintal for times available to practice in Saskatoon.

THE WOLFE IN NATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION
The musical group The Wolfe has made it into the CBC Searchlight Top 4 and is heading to Toronto this weekend to complete in the finale. Help them win the competition by voting for them everyday at http://cbcmusic.ca/searchlight/122

HIGH SCHOOL JURIED ART SHOW
The Mann Art Gallery is looking for submissions for their High School Juried Art Show (April 6- May 13th). Artwork will be selected by the gallery to be hung as well as the artwork will be juried for 5 prizes. The last day to hand in artwork to Miss. Hawryluk is Wednesday March 29th at 3:25 p.m. 
Please see Miss. Hawryluk (B18) if you are interested. The criteria for submissions is as follows:
  • Must be in Gr. 9-12
  • Art must be made within the last 12 months (year)
  • Must be original
  • Can be any medium
  • Maximum 2 submissions per person 
SASKTEL SCHOLARSHIPS
Every year, SaskTel helps students pursue career goals by awarding eight scholarships, worth $3000 each, to Saskatchewan students attending post-secondary institutions in Saskatchewan. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in, or about to enroll in, full-time studies (minimum 8 months) at a post-secondary education institute in Saskatchewan; be taking a degree, diploma, or certificate program directly related to communications (such as engineering, computer sciences, accounting, business administration etc.); and have achieved a minimum 75% average in the most recent education standing. SaskTel encourages Aboriginal people, persons with a disability, visible minority (non-Caucasians), and women interested in non-traditional careers, to apply. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2017. Applications are accepted on-line atwww.sasktel.com . GRAD CLOTHING AND RINGS 
St. Mary Grad clothing is available. Come to the office for forms and sizing.  The deadline for ordering is Friday, April 7th.  As well, there are brochures available in the office for ordering grad rings.

YOUNG WOMEN’S CONFERENCE – SKILLS WORK!
Find out if a career in the trades or technology is for you. Women in grade 9 - 12 are invited to attend a free conference on Friday, April 7th from 8:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. in Saskatoon. For more information and how to sign up, contact Mrs. Zurakowski.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE CLASS EXPERIMENT
Environmental Science 20 students are investigating air quality in the school. Please do not touch, or otherwise interfere with, the sampling locations.  

THE CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE OF CANADA – SOCIAL JUSTICE AWARD ($1000)
The Saskatchewan Provincial Council of the Catholic Women’s League has established a Social Justice Award to enable young women to engage in social justice work. The awards application deadline is April 30, 2017. For information on award criteria and an application form, see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services.

KINSMEN CLUB OF PRINCE ALBERT BURSARY ($500)
The Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert will be awarding two bursaries in the amount of $500 each per academic year. The winners of this bursary will be determined by the Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert based on the following criteria: 
* Knowledge of the Kinsmen Club on a local and national level.
* Financial need
* Community involvement
* Academic standing
Submissions must be postmarked no later than May 15th, 2017. For information on award criteria and an application form, see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services.

BUILD A BETTER WORLD SCHOLARSHIP – GRADE 12 STUDENTS
This program is designed for students graduating in spring 2017 and enrolling in post-secondary education. There are 88 scholarships of $500 to award this year! For more information, contact Student Services. The deadline to apply is April 17, 2017. 

ALEX PRYTULA AWARD ($2,000)
Both a male and female student will be presented with a $2000 award at St Mary Grad 2017. The criteria for the award is as follows: outstanding contributions, financial need, and academics. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 10th at 3:30 p.m. Application forms are available online at http://bit.ly/SMHSGradAwards . Please note that a digital photo, of the applicant doing an activity this year, must also be submitted to the main office with the completed application form.

      LES AND IRENE DUBE SERVICE AND JUSTICE SCHOLARSHIP ($2,000)
A student will be presented with a $2,000 scholarship at St Mary Grad 2017. To apply for this scholarship, a student must be enrolling as a full-time student in an Arts and Science program at the University of Saskatchewan through St. Thomas More College for their first year of study and enroll in at least six credit units through the college. The student must also agree to participate fully in the Service and Justice program, administered by the Engaged Learning Coordinator, which requires two hours of community volunteer work per week, excluding holiday and exam periods. As well, the student must have a minimum 80% average based on the following classes: Christian Ethics 20 or 30, ELA A30 or B30, three 30 level electives (but not PAA 30 or Phys. Ed. 30), have demonstrated outstanding leadership and Christian service during their high school years, and be recommended by a Christian Ethics teacher. An application form must be submitted to the main office by Monday, April 10th at 3:30 p.m. The application form is available online at http://bit.ly/SMHSGradAwards .

ACCESS COMMUNICATIONS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Access Communications will award up to 20 scholarships of $1,000 to graduating students in Saskatchewan who are planning to attend post-secondary school at either a technical college or university. For eligibility, selection criteria, and application forms visit  www.MyAccess.ca/InTheCommunity The submission deadline is April 20, 2017

WOMEN IN TRADES WORKSHOP 
The Women in Trades Workshops are hands-on, weekend workshops offering an introduction to a variety of basic trades skills. The Electrical/Plumbing Workshop costs $150 and will be April 8-9, 2017 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Please see Mrs. Zurakowski for more information, if you are interested.

AFFINITY CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Affinity Credit Union has two great scholarship opportunities for grade 11 and 12 students. To be eligible to apply students must be a member of Affinity Credit Union or have a parent or guardian who is a member. More information regarding the two scholarship opportunities below, along with application forms, can be found at www.affinitycu.ca or call 306-385-4420.
·       Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Program – Grade 11 students
Each student receives a $2500 award upon completion of the leadership program. Twenty-six students are accepted into the program. This award is offered by our District Councils, those who’ve been elected to represent their communities within the credit union. It gives recipients the chance to participate in their local District Council meetings and a variety of other events during their grade 12 year! Deadline to apply is May 1, 2017.

NATIONAL UNION OF PUBLIC AND GENERAL EMPLOYEES SCHOLARSHIPS ($1,500)

This scholarship is open to grade 12 students who are planning to attend a postsecondary educational institution full-time in 2017 - 2018 and who are the children, grandchildren or foster children of a NUPGE member. Go to www.nupge.ca/content/12999/national-unions-scholarship-program-2017 for information and application forms. The deadline to apply is July 7th, 2017.

PRINCE ALBERT WRESTLING CLUB 
The practice schedule is Sunday from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Riverside School. See Ms. Richards in Room 128 for information.

OPEN SHOP FOR PAA STUDENTS
Students who are currently taking PAA classes that involve construction or drafting are invited to use the shop equipment, under teacher supervision, during lunch hours every Monday - Thursday. Please contact Mr. Thalheimer or Mr. Welter for more information.

ART CLUB

Art Club meets every Wednesday from 3:30 p.m.- 5:00 p.m in the Art Room (B18). Everyone is welcome to attend. Come on out to make some great art! 

GLEE CLUB/CHORAL 
Glee Club rehearsals are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:15 a.m. and Wednesday at 12:25 p.m.

JAZZ BAND

Rehearsals are Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the band room.

Students are invited to go to the library after school to receive additional teacher support. As well, a supper is served at 5:00 p.m.
