LORAN AWARD
The Loran Award seeks to recognize well-rounded students who demonstrate character, promise of leadership, and strong commitment and service in the community. Up to 32 Loran Awards are available, valued at $100,000 over four years. The application deadline is October 19th, 2016 for sponsored applications and October 26th, 2016 for direct-pool applications. CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING
The practice today is CANCELLED. The next practice is Monday, September 26th.

U OF S OPEN HOUSE 
Students who are interested in attending the University of Saskatchewan can attend an open house on Friday, September 30th. Students need to register online at www.usask.ca Students must also see Mrs. Rapin in Student Services if they want to travel with the school and have their absence school approved. The deadline to register is Tuesday, September 27th at 3:30 p.m.

ART CLUB
For anyone who is interested in joining the Art Club, it will be starting on Wednesday September 21st from 3:30 p.m.- 5:00 p.m in the Art Room (B18). The club will meet every Wednesday during this time. Everyone is welcome to attend. Come on out to make some great art! 

FOOD BANK EDUCATION GARDEN VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are needed TODAY and Thursday, September 22nd to help harvest and perform soil clean up at the food bank education garden. It is located at 1750 6th Ave W, Prince Albert,​ just beside the SHARE building. This would be a great opportunity for Christian Ethic service hours!! YEARBOOK ADVISORS NEEDED 
Do you enjoy taking pictures and want to help with the yearbook? There will be a meeting in B9 at lunch on Thursday, September 22nd. No camera required! See Mrs. Cantin if you are not able to attend.

BAND 10-12 STUDENTS 
All Band 10-12 students are encouraged to bring in their consent forms, as soon as possible, for the Cantando Music Festival trip in April.

JOB OPPORTUNITY 
The City of Prince Albert is looking for staff for their After School Recreation Program. This flexible part-time job runs weekly every Monday – Thursday from September 2016 – April 2017. Requirements include a minimum grade 11 and a valid drivers license.  Interested applicants can either drop off a resume in person at the Margo Fournier Centre or email it to mhorncastle@citypa.com 

WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS
OPEN SHOP FOR PAA STUDENTS
Students who are currently taking PAA classes that involve construction or drafting are invited to use the shop equipment, under teacher supervision, during lunch hours every Monday - Thursday. Please contact Mr. Thalheimer or Mr. Welter for more information.

GLEE CLUB/CHORAL 
Glee Club rehearsals are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:15 a.m. and Wednesday at 12:25 p.m.

JAZZ BAND

Rehearsals are Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the band room.

WEDNESDAY SUPPER STUDY

Students are invited to go to the library after school to receive additional teacher support. As well, a supper is served at 5:00 p.m.
