Tuesday, May 31st

DAY 1

MORNING PRAYER

Throughout the month of May,
we remember Mary, the Mother of our Lord Jesus.

Today is the feast of the Visitation of Mary to her cousin Elizabeth.
Right after the angel told Mary she would bear a child,
he announced that Mary’s cousin was also pregnant.
Mary went to help her elderly cousin Elizabeth.
Elizabeth’s greeting to Mary showed that Elizabeth recognized
that Mary was carrying the Savior.
We know that the baby Elizabeth was carrying was John the Baptist.
What miracles the Spirit can bring to those who believe.

Most holy God,
May we be open to your Spirit and be ready to say yes just as Mary did.
Amen
