DAY 1

MORNING PRAYER

In today’s Gospel reading (John 15:9-12), Jesus uses the word “abide” three times.
To “abide” means to stay in a place or to remain.

Dear God,
We listen to you. Help us to keep your commandments.
We want to abide in you love. We want to live in your joy.
Thank you for loving us.
Help us to love one another.
Amen

SLC will be handing out free ice cream near the Conference Room during the lunch hour.
TUESDAY MAY 3 WE DAY Hat Day
Pay 2 dollars to wear a hat all day and the money will go towards the WE DAY Free the Children charity.  This year the SLC has decided to fund a farm animal bundle which includes 3 goats and 15 chickens - a gift to a family that will give them the chance to sell eggs, milk and pay for school feels.  Another gift we are donating is clean water for a family for life.  This will give a family a lifetime of good health with water for drinking, cleaning and farming. A family can plan to have water to grow food and prevent the spread of illness.
WEDNESDAY MAY 4 Blue and White Day
Wear your favorite blue jeans, jerseys and school clothing to show your school spirit.
THURSDAY MAY 5 Twin Day
Grab a friend and plan to match each other’s outfits for the day.
FRIDAY MAY 6 Rock Paper Scissors Tournament
The SLC invites you to the stage to participate in the first St. Mary’s Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament.  In this game of chance, you will require no skill except for the knowledge of how the game works. It is open to anyone, teachers or students who is willing to participate and show school spirit.  The competition requires a one dollar entry fee and the winner will receive a prize from the SLC!  Remember, the more friends you bring and convince to take part with you, the bigger the prize!  You will get one shot! If you win, you move on to the next competitor. If you lose, you’re out.  The final will be best out of three, so stay and watch this crazy game of chance unfold!
