CATCH THE FIRE YOUTH MINISTRY

An afternoon for youth Grades 9-12.  This year’s focus is on the importance of making decisions, helping the youth to realize that the choices they make matter both for today and tomorrow.  July 2 & 4, 1-5pm - staying in town, July 3, 1-9pm – headed to Melfort wave pool with games and a hot dog roast.  Last year we did acts of random kindness such as walking dogs from S.P.C.A., visiting Fr. Travis’ yard and sprucing it up, mini-golfing, having a campfire, singing songs at a nursing home, among other things.  We’re excited about this year! Hope to see you there!

VERY IMPORTANT GRAD MEETING

All graduating students are to meet in the Lecture Theatre at 11:15 am, on Monday, June 23rd.  It is imperative that you attend as we will discuss times, protocol and practice the lineup for the Grad 2014 photo on the church steps.  

YEAR ENDER SHOW

Cheap Luxury will be hosting a Year Ender Show with the St.Mary group, The New Twenties, on Friday, June 20th at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are available from group members or at the door for $15.

Goodlife Fitness offers teens FREE MEMBERSHIPS for the months of July and August 12-17 for more information get a pamphlet from the office.

DRESS CODE REMINDER

With the warm weather, students are to ensure the clothing they are wearing is appropriate for school: shorts must be of a reasonable length; no halter tops, tube tops, or spaghetti straps; no bare midriff. 

SASKATCHEWAN SCHOOL BOARDS SCHOLARSHIPS 

Two $2,500 scholarships are awarded to graduating Saskatchewan high school students who remain in Saskatchewan in post-secondary study: University Scholarship and a Applied Science and Technology Scholarship. Recipients are selected on the basis of demonstrating good character, community leadership, financial need, and a 500-word essay. The application deadline is August 31^st, 2014. Please see a counselor in student services for applications or go to http://www.saskschoolboards.ca.​

ENCOUNTERS CANADA-EXPERIENCE CANADA WEEK 

Be in the centre of the action on Parliament Hill, with a front row VIP seat at the Canada Day Celebrations! Experience Canada Week is from June 29th to July 5th, 2014. Encounters Canada has specifically designed this week for high school students who are new or first generation Canadians. Please see Mrs. McLeod in Student Services for more information on how to apply.

GLEE CLUB
Glee Club rehearsals are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:15 a.m. and Wednesday at 12:25 p.m.

YEARBOOK CLUB
Meetings are Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in Rm 143.

JAZZ BAND
Jazz Band rehearsals are scheduled for Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Rm B26.

WEDNESDAY SUPPER STUDY
Students are invited to go to the library after school to receive additional teacher support. As well, a supper is served at 5:00 p.m.

CHESS CLUB
