SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS 

MULTICULTURAL DAY ENTERTAINMENT
St. Mary High School will be celebrating Multicultural Day on Wednesday, April 30th. During the lunch hour, cultural entertainment will be showcased on the stage in the Commons. Any students/families who are interested in participating (song, dance, etc.) are to contact Mrs. Morhart by Thursday, April 17th.

ANTI-BULLYING DAY
On Wednesday, April 9th, all staff and students are encouraged to dress in pink to support the anti-bullying message.

U of S U-START 2014
U-Start 2014 will be held on Wednesday, May 21st at St. Mary High School in the Theatre from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. The U-Start session is facilitated by the U of S and will show new students and their parents how to  register for their classes, organize class schedules, housing options, transitions programs, and more. Students may go online and register with the U of S for the U-Start session.

APPOINTMENT WITH U of S ACADEMIC ADVISOR 
Grade 12 students who have registered to attend the U of S this fall will have the opportunity to meet with a U of S Academic Advisor on Thursday, May 29th. He will be here from 9:00 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.The advisor will help you with course selection and any other questions you may have. You must sign up by or before Tuesday, May 27th to meet with him. Please see Mrs. McLeod in student services to sign up

SIAST AT ST MARY
On Tuesday, April 15th Christine Nemish from SIAST will be in the St. Mary Commons during Parent/Teacher/Student interviews from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. to meet with interested students and parents about the admission process and programs at SIAST.

U of S PRINCE ALBERT CAMPUS
A U of S Prince Albert Campus Counselor will be at St. Mary High School in the Commons on Tuesday, April 15th and Wednesday, April 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. during Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews. Joanne Marchand, U of S Prince Albert Campus Counselor, will answer admission questions and provide information about course selections etc.

SLC MEETING
The SLC meeting has been postponed to Thursday, April 10th.

A MUSICAL CELEBRATION
St. Mary Concert Band, Jazz Band and Glee Club, with special guests Prince Albert City Band and the Millennium Swing Orchestra, will host a musical celebration on Tuesday April 8th at 7:30 p.m. at E.A. Rawlinson Centre. Admission is by donation.

U of R COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

SUPERANNUATED TEACHERS SCHOLARSHIP
Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan Prince Albert Chapter Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Grade 12 student from a Prince Albert high school who has been accepted to a Saskatchewan Teacher Education Program. Please see a counselor in Student Services for application details. Deadline to apply is August 1, 2014.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT
We are looking for metal hangers for our Community Service project.  Anyone who has metal hangers at home, please bring them to your home room.

A MUSICAL CELEBRATION

ST. MARY CULTURAL CAMP
The camp has been rescheduled to April 4th - April 6th. Please see Ms. Bear to sign up. There will be only 30 participants chosen so please sign up ASAP.

SASKATCHEWAN WINTER GAMES PARTICIPANTS
If you participated in the 2014 Sask Winter Games held in Prince Albert, you could be featured in this year’s yearbook. If you have any pictures of you volunteering, competing or performing and you want them in the yearbook, please leave a message at the office for Mrs. J. Cantin. Include your name, how you participated, and whether or not you would like to be interviewed. If you have any questions, you can contact Kayanna Wirtz or Mrs. J. Cantin.

PA MINOR FASTPITCH AND SOFTBALL REGISTRATION
Wednesday, March 26th Wednesday, April 2nd and Sunday, April 6th
Location: Summer Games Building across from the Carlton Track & Art Houser Centre
Time: 7pm – 9pm
Bantam: (1998 – 1999) $90.00 (male peewee/bantam Tues/Thurs)
Midget: (1996 – 1997) $90.00 (female bantam/midget Wed/Thurs)
Evaluations will be held at the Alfred Jenkins Field House Gym on April 12th and 13th.
Evaluation times will be given out to parents at time of Registration
Season begins Monday, May 5th.  Year End Tournament set for June 21st week-end.

Glee Club rehearsals are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:15 a.m. and Wednesday at 12:25 p.m.

YEARBOOK CLUB
Meetings are Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in Rm 143.

JAZZ BAND
Jazz Band rehearsals are scheduled for Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Rm B26.


WEDNESDAY SUPPER STUDY
Students are invited to go to the library after school to receive additional teacher support. As well, a supper is served at 5:00 p.m.
CHESS CLUB
Tuesday and Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in Rm B27.

CROSS COUNTRY
Practices will be on Monday - Thursday at 3:30 p.m.


PRINCE ALBERT WRESTLING CLUB
If anyone is interested in club wrestling, practice is every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Carlton white gym.  All high school male and female students are welcome. See Ms. Richards for more information.
