MORNING PRAYER
Today’s Gospel (Mark 6:21-29) is about the death of John the Baptist. He confronted an evil leader and was imprisoned and later sacrificed because of someone else’s anger.

Jesus our guide, you remind us that the Christian life is never easy. Keep us safe as we do your work. May our burdens be lifted with the help of your gentle Spirit. Amen

RED MEASLES/RUBEOLA INFORMATION

SEMESTER II PICTURE DAY
Students who were not photographed for the yearbook and student cards will photographed on Monday, February 10th at 9:00 a.m. in the Conference Room.

YEARBOOK CLUB/TEAM PHOTOS
These pictures will be taken on Monday, February 10th.  The schedule will be posted at the gym wall.

SEMESTER I ART STUDENTS
Reminder to all semester one art students, Art work that was left or was hanging can be picked up from the art room at any time.  Art work left after the February break will be recycled.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS
Sacred Heart Cathedral is looking for an artist to create an illustration of the cathedral for their anniversary book. There is a prize of $100 for the successful submission.  See Ms Charlebois-Rinas as soon as possible for information as the timeline is tight.

GRADE 12 STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities 90th Anniversary Student Scholarship is available to Grade 12 students who are planning on studying at a Post Secondary Institution in the fall of 2014. Applications must be postmarked on or before February 7th, 2014. Two $1500 scholarships in agricultural safety and rural health will be awarded. MODEL UNITED NATIONS
There will be a meeting on Monday, February 10th at 12:30 p.m. in Rm 136. Students will perform a mock UN resolution procedure.

CHRISTIAN ETHICS SERVICE HOURS OPPORTUNITIES
The Saskatchewan Winter Games are held in Prince Albert from Feb. 16th – Feb. 22nd, 2014.
Volunteers are needed to “give back to the community” to make these games an overwhelming success. Volunteering is easy and there are many benefits:
  • Free admission to all sporting events 
  • Free t-shirt and training (for 12 hours or more of volunteering)
  • Free admission to Volunteers Lounge
  • Free access to all activities and events in Volunteer Lounge
