DAY 2

MORNING PRAYER
Today we remember St. Francis of Assisi, a lover of animals, nature and champion of the poor.  He gave up all his possessions so that he could preach on the streets of Italy, and before long, several prominent citizens joined his group.  The pope eventually recognized the order and called it the Franciscans. Francis called all creatures his “brothers and sisters”. He believed that humans are stewards of all nature. Amen.
